Kelly Nevin Lillie is the education coordinator for OLLI at Penn State York. Following 15 years of living in the Philadelphia region and a few years in Seattle, Kelly recently relocated back to her hometown of York, PA. Here, she has continued to work as a local artist and volunteer actively in both education and in the arts, all while remaining a busy mother to her two children, Elliot and Mae, and a wife to Ben.

Kelly holds a master’s degree in art history with a fine arts administration concentration from Temple University. After receiving her B.A. in fine arts from Elizabethtown College, Kelly moved to Seattle, WA, where she worked for several art galleries, as well as in advertising. She continued her advertising career, as well as some nonprofit work, in the Philadelphia region before pursuing her passion for art history, earning her degree while working with the Brandywine Museum of Art. She also has continued to paint intermittently, and her work can be seen in galleries throughout South-central and Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Those who know Kelly personally may have heard her say at some point, “I could be a student forever.” She brings her strong passion for learning to this position, with the mindset that education is precious; a gift that no one can ever take away. Kelly works with the curriculum committee and the OLLI office team to provide support in the areas of course management, vetting, and logistics. She is so excited to watch this program continue to thrive, along with its enthusiastic members and instructors!

When Kelly is not working, she can usually be found watching one of her busy children’s sports or dance events. In those rare moments of downtime, she also enjoys reading, traveling, and hiking with her family, including rescue mutt, Henry.
