Danielle Guillermo is an educator, former professional dancer, and creative consultant. Her work focuses on helping organizations develop their brands and educational programming to support long‑term sustainability. She is featured in Dance Teacher Magazine as an educator turned brand coach entrepreneur.
Danielle was an adjunct instructor of dance at Messiah University and director of the Messiah Summer Dance Intensive. She has been on faculty at Pennsylvania Regional Ballet, Hershey School of Dance, and the School of Dayton Contemporary Dance Co. and a lecturer and guest teacher throughout the United States. Her choreography has been shown at Symphony Space (NYC), Messiah University, Regional Dance America, and festivals nationally and abroad. She has been awarded the Monticello Award and Josephine Schwarz Award for choreography and was selected for the inaugural Breaking Glass Emerging Female Choreographer’s Project. Danielle has been a member of Avodah Dance Ensemble and Dayton Contemporary Dance Company II and was a performer and dance captain as well as the choreographer for Joseph (2010) at Sight & Sound Theatre, Lancaster.
Danielle created the Ugly Duckling Project, a modern-ballet and residency to address bullying in elementary-age children, set to an original score by the late James Casey; performed and grant-funded through the Pennsylvania Regional Ballet. The program reached more than 2,000 children in the Harrisburg School District.
For OLLI, Danielle looks forward to building community and expanding the reach of the program in the Greater Harrisburg area. She is eager to bring movement workshops to the incredible lineup of courses.
Danielle holds a bachelor of arts degree in art history from Mansfield University and an Artist in Health Certification from Penn State. Danielle serves on the Board of Women of Purpose, an organization dedicated to helping women of all ages discover, develop, and activate their purpose. She enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children, and their Border Heeler.
