OLLI members will drive/carpool to the Reading Outer Station (about an hour from York). At 9:00 a.m., we will board the Reading Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad for a leisurely interpretative trip through quaint small towns before arriving at picturesque downtown Jim Thorpe, also known as “Little Switzerland.” You will have five hours on your own to shop, dine, rent bikes, walk trails, or tour a museum. Everything is within walking distance of the train station. (There is also a trolley tour and rail trip to Lehigh Valley Gorge, and tickets can be purchased at the train station.)

Not included in cost: Lunch and shopping in Jim Thorpe
Please note this is not a bus trip and you must arrange your own transportation to Reading. OLLI will not be arranging any carpools. Please arrive early as the train will leave at 9:00 a.m.
