In spring’s Message from the Director, I requested that members consider stepping into a volunteer position, and many have, so thank you! Whether an instructor, committee member, SIG leader, or course coordinator, volunteers are the heart of OLLI and we recognize and thank them.
Fall is an appropriate time to thank our donors. As the fiscal year has ended, I recognize those who have given to OLLI through financial contributions. During our annual fundraising campaign, in conjunction with Give Local York, OLLI raised $38,458.28. The generosity of our members is astounding. Thank you to those who donated in 2023–24!
Additionally, thank you to all members, as everyone gives in some capacity, whether through membership fees, course fees, donations, or volunteering. This is what makes OLLI at Penn State York such a remarkable community.
Last, I can’t wait for you to see what the curriculum committee has planned for fall. I assure you that it is more than you expect. Courses span topics such as health, science, travel, history, York County, geology, religion, music, sports, law, and politics, in addition to twelve local tours, two bus trips, and another partnership between OLLI and Penn State York faculty for an intergenerational opportunity.
See you this fall!
Cordially,
Jennifer Geubtner-May, Ed.D.
