What to Expect from OLLI’s New Website

Welcome to our new and improved OLLI website! On the homepage, you will find information that pertains to OLLI in general, and a tab that will lead you specifically to OLLI York.

In the OLLI York section, you will find details about our current courses, volunteer opportunities, membership, and much more! Current and prospective instructors will find a plethora of information to assist them in proposing courses, as well as “next steps” after their proposal is accepted.

As we move toward fall 2021, we are excited to welcome you back to OLLI. Whether you are planning to take courses in person, online, or a combination — we assure you that you will find something that piques your interest. We want your time with OLLI to be enjoyable, thought-provoking, and fulfilling. Here is a sample of what you can expect from OLLI this fall:

  • New in-person courses such as Moguls and Movie Stars, A Brief history of Jazz, and Escape from Freedom: The Twilight of Democracy, along with 70+ more in-person courses!
  • Sixteen online (Zoom) courses such as The Amazing Life and Legacy of Pearl S. Buck, We Were There Too: Stories of Pioneer Appalachian Trail Women, and How the Amish Deal with the Challenges of Technology.
  • Social events that our fun-loving and imaginative Social Committee will develop, as well as ongoing events such as Trivia on Zoom and The Schmoozery.

Please join us for a free course, “Navigating the New OLLI Website,” on August 9, 10, and 12. We hope you will find the new website well-designed, with easy and logical navigation and high-quality and relevant content. If you have any questions about the new site, feel free to reach out to us at 717-771-4015 or olli@york.psu.edu.

Be sure to read our weekly e-newsletter and follow our Facebook page to stay up to date. In addition, our new website will include Pop-Up courses that are not in the PDF catalog, important deadlines, stories on members and instructors, and more!
