The Barnes Foundation has one of the world’s largest collections of modern European Art, including Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse, Picasso, and Van Gogh as well as Native American Ceramics, African Art, and PA German Furniture. Albert Barnes collected these works from 1912 to 1951 and arranged them in “ensembles.” We will have a docent-led tour that discusses the history of the Barnes Foundation and Dr. Barnes’ methodology in creating these ensembles. Lunch will be on your own in the museum at either Reflections Café or Garden Restaurant.
