Ashley Granger, the education coordinator for OLLI at Penn State York, has more than 17 years of experience in education. She is passionate about creating a culture that welcomes rich learning opportunities as well as positive relationships. At OLLI, her duties include assisting the curriculum committee with course vetting and semester management, developing and executing course evaluations and reports, and managing bus trip logistics. As a dedicated educator, she is happy to be continuing her career in the education field, while helping OLLI members in their quest to be lifelong learners.

Prior to joining OLLI at Penn State York, Ashley successfully guided thousands of high school students to their fullest potential through relationship building, cooperative problem solving, and mentorship.

Upon finishing her undergraduate studies at York College, Ashley began her career in education as a high school English teacher. While teaching, she earned her master’s degree in 21st century teaching and learning from Wilkes University, which allowed her to utilize innovative technology strategies to take her students’ success to the next level. During her teaching career, Ashley was a track and field coach for 4 years, a mentor teacher, and a Teacher Impact Award nominee.

Ashley relishes spending time with her 6-year-old daughter, Elle, husband, JD, and bernedoodle, Henry. They enjoy traveling to the beach, visiting family in Boston and Michigan, and attending Penn State football games.
